How MJ Karmi IN THE WORK Classes Work
- Actors at any level are welcome
- Ongoing in-person and Zoom actor training
- Rolling admissions – actors may join at any time
- No formal start or end date
- Four-class minimum commitment
- Class packages begin with the first class attended:
four-class packages must be completed within 6 weeks,
eight-class packages within 10 weeks,
and twelve-class packages within 14 weeks
- Discounted class packages available
- Actors develop a process that is uniquely their own
Class packages are available at a discounted rate!
Class packages come in packs of 4, 12, or 16 classes. Classes operate on a rolling basis, and students can enroll anytime.
Payment Plans Offered
During Checkout, students have the option to enroll in a payment plan through PayPal. Students who wish to use Zelle or Revolut may contact MJ Karmi directly.

In The Work
This class is grounded in the work of Stanislavski, and the evolution of American acting technique; Strasberg, Meisner, and Adler. The focus is not on results but on building a reliable internal process that allows the actor to work truthfully, consistently, and with depth.
Actors train to:
- Develop an authentic deep inner life
- Work from impulse
- Create behavior
- Actors are fully present and in the moment
The objective is highly specific, authentic, organic work.
Training integrates core Method principles with practical application:
Sensory & Affective Work – sensorially accessing personal connection and emotional truth
Scene Study – applying process to text with personalization and specificity
Improvisation – expanding spontaneity and moment-to-moment response
Character Development – building from inner life to external behavior
Private Moment – Exploring character in a deep and personal experience
Animal Work – Finding behavior and physicality for character development
Each actor works weekly on material, with direct, rigorous feedback and adjustments.

Most classes focus on presentation. This class focuses on what makes it transcendent.
